Volunteer - Science ATL

Science ATL LOVES our volunteers.

Without our volunteers, we could not foster our city’s love of science or broaden access to science learning outside of school and across the metro area. We could not connect local scientists and engineers with teachers to ensure Atlanta’s children know that science is for everyone. We could not show students that STEM professionals are a diverse group of passionate adults who live and work in their neighborhoods (not just goofy men with white hair and jackets). Science ATL could not exist without the help of our hundreds of volunteers each year.

Volunteer Hub

We are thrilled to launch the The Science ATL Volunteer Hub – a way to connect STEM Professionals seeking volunteer opportunities with K-12 and Out-of-School educators seeking support from people working in STEM fields.

We believe that interactions with real scientists and engineers are essential for students to become and remain fascinated by STEM. We hope to simplify the process for both volunteers and educators so they can focus on building their partnerships. Because we know that representation matters in order to inspire all people to love and pursue science, we are working to ensure diverse representation among the STEM professionals volunteers we recruit.

Need Volunteers?

Do you work with youth
and want them to engage more with local STEM professionals? Science ATL would love to connect schools and youth programs with volunteers eager to share their science, technology, engineering and math stories and experiences.

Submit volunteer needs for upcoming events or initiatives at your school or out-of-school program. We will do our best to help you recruit STEM professionals. In order to best serve you, we request at least a 4 week lead time.
