• Critter Crawl: Murphey Candler Park

Join us as we launch a new series...Critter Crawl! This walk is especially designed for families with younger children and up to middle school - although anyone and everyone are welcome to enjoy nature with us! We'll be exploring different parks throughout the year with our guide. We'll move at a slower pace so we can pay special attention to clues about the critters that call our parks home. Pawprints! Scat! Feathers! And maybe we'll even find some of the creatures themselves! We can't wait to trek through nature with you!
For our inaugural walk, we'll be meeting at Murphy Candler Park in Brookhaven. This in-town park with a lake and fun trails is home to plenty of critters - mallards, beavers, and more! Join us for this family-friendly nature exploration.

Registration coming early September!

Getting There

Parking Info

There are four parking lots, with the best one being at the pool where there is small trail that leads to our meeting spot. There is a pavilion next to the pool. In the event that the pool lot is full, there is parking lot near a playground just south of the pool and street parking nearby. The two additional lots are a short walk to the pool lot.

Accessibility

Three quarters of our walking route is very flat., though there is small section to traverse over some roots, and walk downhill. In the event that an attendee has a mobility device or walking with a stroller, our guide can alter the route to avoid the downhill section.
