If you love the Atlanta Science Festival, you’ll love joining our events happening year round. We’re always cooking up fun new science events, but have a few event tracks that you can expect to find throughout the year!
Discovery Walks
We’ve worked with storytellers Jonah McDonald and Sarah Peterson to create six intriguing science themed walks throughout Atlanta. From parks to city streets to university campuses, we’re exploring the science all around us with these Discovery Walk maps, illustrated by the very talented Sarah Neuburger.
Order your own maps to take a walk on your own, or join us for our next guided walk in October!
Nature Navigators
We love exploring nature, and there’s no better way to explore than with our amazing Nature Navigator guide, Lance Love. Join us for our monthly walks on the third Saturday of the month with Lance through different local parks (note: we take a break in the extra cold or super hot months!).
Our next walk is coming up in October!
Science ATL L.A.B.S.
Quarterly throughout the year, we partner up with scientists across the city to host our Learning And Bonding through Science (L.A.B.S.) events. These events are designed to let parents (or chaperones) and their middle or high school kids do science experiments together. Dissect a shark! Make sparklers! Uncover the mysteries of science in this bonding experience hosted by Science ATL.
Our next L.A.B.S. event is taking place in October.
Science Trivia
It’s time to play your nerd card! We’ve partnered with Science Friday and Halfway Crooks Beer to bring you a jam-packed trivia night that’s part science-y facts and part pop culture romp. Gather your smartest friends (or your luckiest ones) and join us for trivia every season!
Our next competition is in November.
Story Collider
We’ve paired up with the Story Collider to bring you quarterly stage shows that bring true, personal science stories to life. Join us for intimate evenings of stories from scientists and non-scientists that help us see how science impacts every one of us.
Our next Story Collider show will be in October.
