Discovery Walk: Emory

Science is all around us, often hidden in everyday places - where we live, where we play, and where we walk. Come explore one of these spaces with Discovery Walk map of the Emory campus. Lucy, our Emory Discovery Docent will lead you on this 2.5 mile route through campus with ten intriguing science stops. Bonus - the walk ends at the Carlos Museum and your map will get you free admission!
Please note that parking in any of the Emory decks is free on weekends. Park at the Oxford Road parking deck, located at 1390 Oxford Road. Exit to the elevator and proceed to the 3rd floor, following signs for "Undergraduate Admissions." Your guide will then meet you in the courtyard behind the building.
We will gather at 10:00am, where we will begin promptly with some introductions amongst our group and to get the lay of the land for our walk. The group will depart no later than 10:10 and will not be able to turn back or find latecomers, as our guide will be busy leading the tour.
Please note this walk is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Turkey biology, food science, football physics...it'll be a tryptophantastic night - part science-y facts and part pop culture romp! Bring your nerdy team together (or bravely play solo) to win ultimate bragging rights—and some real prizes, too.

Critter Crawl: Cascade Springs Nature Preserve

Join us for a nature exploration for families!
Our Critter Crawl walks are especially designed for families with younger children and up to middle school - although anyone and everyone are welcome to enjoy nature with us! We'll be exploring different parks throughout the year with our guide. We'll move at a slower pace so we can pay special attention to clues about the critters that call our parks home. Pawprints! Scat! Feathers! And maybe we'll even find some of the creatures themselves! We can't wait to trek through nature with you!
For this walk, we'll be meeting at Cascade Springs Nature Preserve. This lovely park on the Southwest side of the city is home to plenty of critters - turtles, creek fish, deer, and more! Join us for this family-friendly nature exploration.
