STEM in the City: Virtual Field Experience of Fossils

SEM Link’s Math and Science Career Academy is hosting a STEM in the City workshop featuring paleontologist Dr. Lisa D. White, the Director of Education and Outreach at the Museum of Paleontology at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. White will guide youth on a virtual exploration of fossils and geoscientist fieldwork.

Virtual field experiences provide novel ways to engage audiences in the physical features of an area through the eyes of an Earth scientist. This virtual field experience youth will explore fossil collections and the unique environmental areas in California while learning about geology, fossils and geosciences fieldwork.
