Georgia Public Broadcasting invites Atlanta Science Tavern members to attend an exclusive preview screening of PBS’s “The Age of Nature” that explores humanity’s relationship with nature and wildlife.
At this crucial turning point in our planet’s history, this documentary series brings together inspirational contributors, rare archive material and stunning imagery from around the world, to give us a deeper understanding of Nature and our place within it.
The series asks specific questions and answers them with three major stories that provide crucial insights into the dawn of “The Age of Nature”:
- What have our past mistakes taught us about nature?
- How is our understanding of nature changing the way we live?
- As the challenges we face mount, where are we heading next?
You will be treated to excerpts from each of the three episodes, followed by an in-depth conversation with GPB’s Sharon Collins and Dr. Jenny McGuire, Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech. Dr. McGuire is head of the Spatial Ecology & Paleontology Lab and affiliated with the Schools of Biological Sciences and Earth and Atmospheric Sciences as well as the Quantitative Biosciences and Global Change Biology Programs.
