Storytime at Metropolitan Library – Celebrating Georgia Arbor Day

February 13 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

We’re reading This Tree Counts by author Alison Formento. Meet us at the library, read along and learn about the the importance of planting trees and the living things that depend on them.

Be sure to stop by our tree exhibit in the children’s area! Leave us a note on the tree sharing why the trees in our urban forest are important to you and ways you help to protect them.

Join us and our neighbors as we get together for an educational craft and storytime focused on our favorite topic – growing strong trees and celebrate Georgia Arbor Day with this and many other Celebration Week events! More Georgia Arbor Day events are listed online at: treesatlanta.org/georgiaarborday

About the Book: If you listen closely, the lone tree behind Oak Lane School has a story to tell. It starts with one owl, two spiders, and goes all the way up to ten earthworms using the tree as their home! So what does this tree need? Learn about the importance of trees and count from one to ten in this tale about going green.
