Speaker Series: Trees and Birds – Rooted Together

August 19, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

When we think of birds, especially in eastern North America where forests dominate the landscape, we invariably think of trees. Birds depend on trees for shelter, nesting, and food sources, but trees also depend on birds for a variety of reasons.

Gabe Andrle is the Habitat Program Manager at Georgia Audubon where he oversees habitat restoration efforts across the state. He stepped into this role after the organization transitioned from being Atlanta Audubon Society to become Georgia Audubon in 2020. Previously, as Conservation Program Coordinator, Gabe managed the Wildlife Sanctuary Program and Plants for Birds Initiative. Gabe is a passionate naturalist with a background in ecology, conservation, and environmental education.
