Join us for this 2-hour guided hike at the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area’s Powers Island co-led by Trees Atlanta and the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy. This is a more quiet area that will provide the right opportunity to explore the trees of the area and begin to identify invasive species common in this area. Learn about the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy efforts to preserve the park units along the river. The CRNRA hosted 3.5 million park visits in 2020 – that’s more than the Grand Canyon and Yosemite! While on your visit, you can learn more about how the City of Sandy Springs is participating in Trees Atlanta’s One Million Tree Initiative and how you can get involved.
