Lunch and Learn: Invasive Species

June 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Learn about the impact of invasive species on our urban forest. This kick-off event for Trees Atlanta’s new “Conserve the 4-0-Forest” project will help you understand how invasive plant species have become a big problem in areas across Atlanta. Our Forest Restoration team will share with you the history of restoration work at Trees Atlanta and the different neighborhoods they are actively working with to restore the native plants of the area.

We will review 5 invasive plant species that our staff work on removing as a way to mitigate their impact. Learn how you can work on removing them from your backyard, neighborhood, or local park. This event will help you learn how you can get involved in the restoration of our urban forest across metro Atlanta. Participants will be able to send us questions during registration and live during the event. Submit your questions ahead of time using this form: Ask the Expert!
