Learn eBird with Georgia Audubon

Do you keep track of the birds you see? Did you know this information can be used be scientists to inform conservation decisions that benefit birds and people? Join Adam Betuel, Georgia Audubon’s director of conservation, for a workshop guiding you through the basic uses of eBird, the free online checklist program that has revolutionized the way information about birds is collected and shared. This webinar is geared towards eBird novices or those that need a major refresher. No prior experience is needed.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • The basics of eBird, what services it provides, and how Georgia Audubon uses it
  • How to submit a checklist on a smartphone and laptop/desktop computer
  • Share checklists with friends and receive checklists from others
  • The basics of eBird data exploration and how to figure out where to look for certain species or plan birding trips
