Launched in 2017, the ‘IT Girl’ Summer Series is a 4 weekend workshop introducing technology concepts to girls ages 8 to 16. The goal of the summer series is to increase access and mentorship for young women of color to develop critical skills in technology, and a future society with more representation and talent in our tech related fields.
The ‘IT Girl’ Summer Series is a four week (6/5/2021-6/26/2021) digital and hands on learning camp for young women of color ages 8-16 to learn in-demand technology concepts. This summer IT Girls will be exploring Drone Technology (Beginner, 9-11 am) and Drone Technology (Intermediate, 11:30-1:30 pm) on Saturdays throughout the workshop. Students do not need to have any prior technical experience, and all materials will be provided. We ask all students at least have a strong desire to learn more about tech.
