Join the Association For Women in Science at Emory University to learn how to code your own Snapchat filter using Python and LensStudio! You’ll learn about:
- The interdisciplinary use of coding in research at Emory
- Editing Python code
- Navigating Lens Studio
Event Schedule:
2:30pm – 3:30pm: Introductions and talks about applications of coding in research from Dr. Francesco Evangelista (Chemistry), Kirklin McWhorter (Chemistry), and Jeanne Powell (Psychology).
3:30pm – 5pm: Coding tutorial:Create scientific backgrounds by placing lab items on benches using Python & upload them to Snapchat using LensStudio
5pm – 5:30pm: Competition & closing remarks. Girls will rank their favorite filters and the creators of the top three filters will win prizes!
No coding experience or laptop required!
