Amphibian Decline and the Importance of Habitat Restoration

Learn about amphibian declines and what the expectations are for amphibians in our future. Mark Mandica, Founder and Executive Director of the Amphibian Foundation will share the organization’s history, mission and conservation efforts especially with endangered amphibian species in the Southeast. More details will be shared about the upcoming field trips to explore and find amphibians at locations where Trees Atlanta has been doing forest restoration work.

The Amphibian Foundation is an organization dedicated to connecting individuals, communities and organizations in order to create and implement lasting solutions to the global amphibian extinction crisis. Mark is a life-long amphibian conservationist, and leads novel conservation studies focused on endangered species. He is also a biologist, scientific illustrator, instructor, and musician. Most importantly, he is a father and husband.
