Please join our 6th Annual Urban BioBlitz, we are very excited that we are able to host the event in our own urban backyard! West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) is inviting all of our partners, naturalists, scientists, professors, and any other individuals who may be interested identifying living things; including but not limited to: fungi, trees, herbaceous plants, arthropods, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals that are found at our 26-acre forest. We are expecting a fun day of biological inventory!
This event is for students of ALL AGES!!!!!
For those who are not familiar with a BioBlitz, it is a period of biological surveying with the intentions of identifying all of the species in a designated area. A BioBlitz is an opportunity for individuals to become more aware of the natural world in their community.
Be sure to bring a smart phone or tablet, and download the iNaturalist App BEFORE you arrive to help us capture as many species as possible. More information can be found on the website.
